Trailblazers Run Club

Open to all Beat the Couch Grads who are broadly 5k fit, Trailblazers is the place for you to continue to work on your running skills within a non-intimidating, fun, challenging and expertly-led environment! Run by the experts at Waterfront Gym, this will help you build endurance, flexibility, strength, speed - and improve your performance on hills too. This is a great way to stay engaged and maintain the fitness you worked so hard to achieve.

As spaces are limited, please note that you must have completed a season of Beat the Couch in order to take part in Trailblazers, or be a member of the Waterfront Gym with a baseline level of 5k fitness. The trainers can accommodate a wide variety of people though don’t worry! Routes are all out and back and are adjusted to individual capability, so everyone will finish together.

PRICING: $95 per month, billed monthly (3-month commitment) or included within Waterfront Gym membership ($150-$170 per month.)

SCHEDULE:

All runs start and finish at the Waterfront Gym, 90 Pitts Bay Road (the office complex above Miles Market) except Sunday runs (Horseshoe Bay).

Monday: 6pm outdoor run with Yves Paul (endurance, flexibility) - 45 mins

Tuesday: 12.30pm outdoor run with Catherine Burns (endurance, hills) - 45 mins

Wednesday: 6.30am outdoor run with Graham Frith (endurance, speed-work) - 30 mins

Thursday: 6pm, outdoor run with Graham Frith (endurance) - 45 mins

Friday: 12noon, indoor class for Runners with Dawn Berry (endurance, strength & flexibility) - 45 mins

Sunday: 8.30am, bonus beach run - member led, with Catherine (endurance) - 45 mins
